Welcome to Upper West Side
While there are stores and restaurants, the upper west side has a quieter residential feel and many blocks on the upper west side feel like small towns due to the many quaint brownstones and tree-lined streets. The neighborhood is bookmarked on either side by Riverside Park and the Hudson River to the West and Central Park to the East making the neighborhood one of the greenest parts of Manhattan. Adjacent neighborhoods include: Hell’s Kitchen, Theatre District, Morningside Heights and Harlem. The neighborhood runs from Central Park West to the Hudson River and from 59th Street to 110th Street. The restaurant scene continues to evolve with many downtown restaurants opening outposts such as Red Farm. In addition, the neighborhood boasts some of the city’s most upscale restaurants including Jean George, Per Se and Dovetail.
